Waterproofing
ESI has more than 20 years experience in the assessment, design and construction management for waterproofing systems. Our staff of Professional Engineers, Architects, Building Technologists and Registered Waterproofing Consultants have developed effective waterproofing solutions for more than 300 structures types. ESI’s plaza and traffic bearing deck experience includes new and remedial design and construction administration services. We are familiar with all major waterproofing systems including: fluid applied membranes, self adhering sheet membranes, bituminous and thermoplastic sheet membranes and composite rubberized asphalt membranes. ESI places special emphasis on sheet metal selection, detailing and integration into waterproofing systems. We have learned that thoughtful integration of sheet metal components into a waterproofing system can mean the difference between success and failure.
Our foundation waterproofing experience includes new and remedial design and consulting for both property line and mass excavation types of foundations. We are familiar with the appropriate use and application of all major types of below grade waterproofing systems including: spray applied, peel and stick sheet applied, sheet membrane, bentonite and composite membranes. We have unique experience in remedial waterproofing assessment, design and construction administration. Our staff is well experienced in the use of remedial plastic foam grouts, bentonite grouts and surface applied remedial waterproofing materials.
ESI waterproofing consultants have worked on new and remedial sealant applications for more than 200 structures. ESI is well experienced in the selection and design of appropriate materials and sealant joint configurations. We utilize a wide selection of sealant types including: silicone, urethane, acrylic, butyl and hybrid sealant systems to appropriately address anticipated in service conditions.
ESI places special emphasis on design and integration of waterproofing and drainage elements located behind siding products as well as sheet metal selection, detailing and integration into siding systems. We have learned that thoughtful integration of the backing waterproofing, drainage system and sheet metal components into the system can mean the difference between success and failure.
